Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection in Phoenicia—now Lebanon and a portion of the Syrian coast.
The Master appeared in Tyre to His disciples. This was His eighteenth appearance.
“Peace be with you. Rejoice, for I have risen from the dead, and you yourselves shall also live eternally. Your death is merely the passing of the mortal body. However, the Bread of Life and the Water of Life are bestowed only upon those who hunger for truth and thirst for righteousness—that is, those who hunger for God.
My Father sent Me into the world to proclaim the message that you are His children. Likewise, I send you forth throughout the world to preach the salvation inherent in this sonship.
Salvation is God’s free gift; those who are born of the Holy Spirit will manifest the fruits of the Spirit through loving service to their brethren. The fruits of the Spirit include:
Loving service, selfless devotion, courageous loyalty, sincere fairness, enlightened honesty, undying hope, steadfast trust, merciful ministry, unfailing kindness, forgiving tolerance, and enduring peace.
If those who claim to be disciples do not bear these fruits of the Spirit:
‘Love, joy, peace, patience, generosity, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, humility, self-control, and purity in their lives, then they are dead; the Spirit of Truth does not dwell within them.
They are merely withered branches on the Living Vine, and before long, they shall be cut away.
My Father requires of His children that they bear an abundance of the fruits of the Spirit.
If you do not bear fruit, He will prune away the barren branches.”
You must increasingly bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit as you journey along the earthly path toward Heaven.
You may enter the Kingdom like a child, but My Father requires you to grow—through grace—so that you may mature spiritually.
As you go forth throughout the world to proclaim this Gospel to all nations, I will go before you, and My Spirit of Truth will dwell within your hearts.
I leave My peace with you.”
Having spoken these words, Jesus vanished from their sight. The following day, the disciples departed from Tyre, carrying the story of the Lord’s visit with them as far as Sidon, Antioch, and Damascus.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Let me know You, and let me know myself. Know You to listen to Your Word, and put it into practice in my daily life. Know me to change my path to Your righteous one, to have Heaven in my heart, and You are always with me.
May my meditation bring many more readers, who are not yet believers, into your Forever Family.
Please bless all those who read this meditation in my Blog.
AMEN.
