October 20, 2026. Dear Jesus, A friend once asked me: "What does it mean to 'worship God in Spirit and in Truth'?"

 Dear Jesus,

A friend once asked me:

"What does it mean to 'worship God in Spirit and in Truth'?"

Beloved,

More than 2,000 years ago, after a long, arduous journey from Galilee into Samaria, as I sat by the ancient well of Jacob, a Samaritan woman arrived to draw water, and I asked her for a drink.

During our conversation, she asked:

"Sir, we Samaritans worship God on Mount Gerizim, but the Jews say that God must be worshipped in the Temple in Jerusalem. So, where is the right place to worship God?"

I replied:

"The hour is coming when you will worship God neither on Mount Gerizim nor in the Temple in Jerusalem... but rather, you will worship God in Spirit and in Truth" (John 4:23).

These words marked a profound shift—from a form of worship based on external rituals to one rooted in the inner self.

At that time, there was a deep-seated religious and political rift between the Jews and the Samaritans:

The Samaritans held that Mount Gerizim—where their ancestors had built a temple—was the sacred site for worship, while the Jews insisted that the Temple in Jerusalem was the only legitimate center for worship. When the woman brought up this debate over the "correct" place to worship, I declared that a new era had arrived—an era in which God’s presence is no longer confined to any specific geographical location or the walls of a physical temple.

To worship in "Spirit":

God is Spirit—He possesses no physical body and is not limited by material constraints. Human beings cannot "confine" God to a fixed space. Worship in the Spirit means worshipping from the depths of the soul—with sincere faith and love—under the influence and guidance of the Holy Spirit. This is distinct from worship that consists merely of lip service, outward rituals, or rigid, lifeless rules.

Worship in "Truth"

"Truth" here goes beyond mere human honesty; it carries a salvific dimension.

I have declared:

”I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

To worship in Truth means to worship God the Father through Me and in communion with Me. From this point forward, the true temple is no longer a structure of brick and stone in Jerusalem.

God has no need for magnificent edifices, nor is He concerned with disputes over specific locations. He is not focused on "religion" in the conventional sense.

What God the Father seeks is for people everywhere to be able to approach Him with a pure heart and a genuine faith.

I am not only the Life; I am also the Resurrection.

Having conquered death, I rose again and remained with My apostles and disciples for forty days.

On one occasion, I walked alongside two disciples, explaining the Scriptures to them throughout the twelve-kilometer journey from Jerusalem to the village of Emmaus.

I also shared breakfast with the apostles by the Sea of Galilee after they returned from fishing.

In total, there were nineteen recorded instances where I appeared to the apostles and disciples following  resurrection.

Dear little child,

Come to God as a child comes to a Father—a Father who loves you unconditionally, yet always dwells in righteousness.

Live in love: do not do to others what you would not want them to do to you; and whatever you would have others do for you, do the same for your neighbor.

Love God, your Father, with all your heart and all your soul, for He is Almighty and Perfect. And love your fellow human beings as you love yourself.

  • Dear Jesus,

Let me know You, and let me know myself. Know You to listen to Your Word, and put it into practice in my daily life. Know me to change my path to Your righteous one, to have Heaven in my heart, and You are always with me.

May my meditation bring many more readers, who are not yet believers, into your Forever Family.

Please bless all those who read this meditation in my Blog.

    AMEN.
