Today, we will go to discover the twelve Jesus’ apostles. Who were they?    “Were they “old, poor, ignorant and unlearned”?  Do not make that mistake. Except for the Alpheus twins, all of them graduated from synagogue schools. They were trained in Hebrew Scriptures and current knowledge of their times. Seven of them graduated from  Capernaum synagogue, the best Jewish school of Galilee. Were they old men with long beards and gray hair as pictured we often see? Not at all. They were at their peak strength and stamina. The oldest, was Andrew 33, and the youngest, was John  24, at the time they were chosen.   FIRST, WHO WAS ANDREW? Andrew was born in Capernaum, the oldest child of a family of five. Simon (Peter) was his brother. His father was a  partner of the Zebedee’s family in the fish drying business at Bethsaida , fishing city of  Capernaum. Zebedee’ s family with two sons John and James, later will be chosen by Jesus. They were all connected and  friends. He was single when chosen.

Như mọi ngày con cảm tạ Chúa cho con một đêm an bình, và một ngày mới để yêu thương. Trong tĩnh lặng ban mai con cảm nhận được sự hiện diện và bình an của Chúa.   Giêsu thương mến, Bốn cuốn Thánh Kinh Gioan, Marcô, Luca và Mattheu, nói rất sơ sài về ngày thánh Giuse và Đức Mẹ đưa Chúa lên đền thờ Giêrusalem dự lễ Vượt Qua (Passover). Khi đó Chúa khoản 12 tuổi . Khi tìm ra Chúa trong Đền Thờ, thấy Chúa ngồi bàn luận với các thầy thượng phẩm. Các thầy thượng phẩm và các vị cao niên ngạc nhiên vì những câu hỏi của Chúa. Bốn cuốn Thánh Kinh không thấy nói Chúa nói những gì làm họ kinh ngạc?   Con thương mến, Trên đường đi từ Nazareth đến Giêrusalem,  Giuse (Joseph), cha nuôi ta đã giảng cho Ta nghe  về sự tế lễ trên Đền Thờ là để làm nguôi cơn giận của Đức Chúa Trời. Đây là tin tưởng của đạo Do Thái. Ta nói với cha ta rằng Ta không đồng ý với ý tưởng Đạo Do Thái là Cha trên trời giận dữ và phẫn nộ với con cái Ngài dưới trần gian. Ta nói với cha Giuse của Ta rằng Ta biết cha thương Ta, nhưn

  “As always, I say thanks to Jesus for a goodnight and a New Day to Love.   Dear Jesus, I know that You are all Love and Omnipotent, you could turn ugly things  into beautiful blessings,  and hard days into  happy ones.   Beloved,   “My apostle John quoted :” The Light shines  in the darkness. And the darkness has not overpowered the Light.” _JOHN 1:5   Indeed I am the LIGHT. Look for Me in your darkest hours and days. Do not bewildered, talk to Me, I am always listening. My dear, I know that you are struggling to chase out from your mind the old memories of those who are hurting you. These memories are rocks they threw at you. Leave them on the road’s home to the Father’s house. Never, never pick up these rocks and put them  on your back pack. Confide in Me, and I will turn these rocks into blessings, and your difficult days into blessed ones.  These difficult times are for your lessons to learn, or to help someone of your friends who are struggling through the same kind of problems.

  Như đã nói trong bài Suy Niệm viết bằng English, Chúa hiện ra trong bữa sáng ngày  thứ năm 18 tháng 5 vào lúc 11 tông đồ đang sắp ăn sáng, trên căn lầu nhà của chú bé John Mark, sau này là tông đồ viết Thánh Kinh theo Mark (Marcô).   Sau lời dạy các con hãy đi, mỗi nhóm hai người , truyền bá Phúc Âm Thiên Quốc, Chúa gọi các ông theo Chúa đi lên Núi Olivet. 11 tông đồ lẳng lặng theo sau, đi trong im lặng, lòng nặng trĩu buồn thương và hoang mang. Đến nữa lưng chừng núi, Chúa dừng lại, từ đây nhìn xuống bao quát, Jerusalem đã hiện rõ trong màn sương sớm, và cũng từ đây nhìn thấy trại Gethsemane nơi Chúa và các ông đã cắm trại lần cuối cùng.   Không bảo, nhưng các tông đồ quỳ vòng quanh, và Chúa phán:   “Các con hãy nán lại Jerusalem cho đến khi các con nhận được quyền uy từ Cha Ta. Nay đã đến lúc Ta rời các con và về với Cha Ta. Cha Ta và Ta sẽ gửi đến các con Thần Khí của Sự Thật trong thời gian rất gần.  Và khi Thần Khí của Sự Thật đến với các con, đó là lúc các con bắt đầu đi truyền

“This was Jesus’  fourth appearance and 19 th  and last appearance on earth. That was Thursday May 18 , while the eleven apostles were in the upper chamber of John Mark’s home,  about to take breakfast, He appeared to them.   “Peace be with you. It is now the last visit to you my dear children. The Spirit of Truth shall be with you and  will give you strength and power. Simon Zelotes interrupted Jesus:”Master, now is your time to leave us, and then will you come back to restore the kingdom on earth?” “Simon, you were with Me three years on the road, day in and day out didn’t I tell you and your fellow apostles that my kingdom was a spiritual and not a material one? But  when the Spirit of Truth comes He will give you guidance and you will go into the world preaching the Gospel of the heavenly kingdom. As the Father sent Me, so I send you. “Trong bài suy niệm ngày hôm nay sẽ có tên hai thành phố Tyre và Sidon. Đây là hai thành phố của tỉnh Phoenicia, nằm về phía bắc Galilee, gần núi Lebanon, nay thuộc về xứ Lebanon.   Vào ngày thứ ba, 16 tháng 5, vào ban tối, một nhóm người tin Chúa Giêsu tụ họp tại thị trấn Tyre và chính lúc đó Chúa hiện ra với họ.   “Bình an cho các con. Các con vui mừng vì Ta đã sống lại, và cũng như thế các con và bạn bè các con cũng sẽ  thắng sự chết. Nhưng các con nên nhớ muốn thắng sự Tối Tăm các con phải là những linh hồn biết tìm kiếm Thiên Chúa là Ánh Sáng và Sự Thật. Bánh và Nước Hằng Sống chỉ cho những ai đói khát Sự thật và Lẽ Công Chính. Những ai nhờ vào đức tin sẽ thành Con Cái Vĩnh Cửu của Thiên Chúa Vĩnh Cửu.   Cha Ta đưa Ta vào thế gian để loan báo cho tất cả mọi người sự cứu rỗi khi thành con cái của Thiên Chúa. Và những hoa trái của Thánh Linh sẽ đến với họ : sự phục vụ trong thương yêu, lòng tận tâm vô vị lợi, lòng trung thành dũng cảm, lòng thật thà liêm khiết, lòng nhân từ vô tận,

“Remember Jesus and his  apostles once stopped at  the Sychar village. That happened when on that evening the team after an exhausting journey walking under the scorched sun, Jesus was thirsty and tired. He sat down at the Jacob’s well and the apostles went to the village to buy food.  A Samaritan lady named Nalda came and drew water. Jesus told her :”Give me a drink”. Nalda was so surprised and replied :”How come you are a Jew and ask me for a drink?”  And Jesus said :”Lady, if you know I have the water of life, you would ask me to give you that water…”   So in the afternoon of  that Sabbath Day , May 13 , near Jacob ‘s well at the Sychar village, the Samaritans believers of Jesus gathered there to discuss Jesus’ apparitions. There were Nalda and  around seventy five Jesus’ believers. “Tối hôm đó, vào ngày 5 tháng 5, tại sân trước nhà Nicodemus đã có một buổi họp mặt đông đủ các  người tin vào Chúa Giêsu. Nicodemus là một người Do Thái giàu có trong Hội Đồng Do Thái Giáo, nhưng sau ngày Chúa bị đóng  đinh  trên thập giá, ông công khai theo Chúa khi cùng Joseph người xứ Arimathea đem xác Chúa về tẩm liệm và chôn nơi nghĩa trang riêng của gia đình Arimathea. Vậy tối hôm đó có 11 tông đồ, khoảng 50 người trong giáo đoàn truyền giáo đàn ông,   một số môn đồ Hy Lạp (Greeks), và   các bà trong giáo đoàn truyền giáo .   Và Chúa hiện đến với họ , giảng dạy họ: “Bình An cho các con. Đây là đám  tông đồ và môn đồ tin vào  Ta tập họp đông đủ nhất từ ngày Ta hiện ra với các con. Ta cho các con biết, các buổi hiện ra của Ta sắp chấm dứt, vì Ta phải về với Cha Ta. Ta đã từng báo trước cho các con biết, rằng ta sẽ bị các  thầy thượng phẩm bắt, bị kết án tử, và Ta sẽ sống lại. Vì sao các con yếu lòng tin khi sự việc này xảy ra, và ngạc nhiên khi Ta ra khỏi mồ ngày thứ ba? Các con k

“It was noted that the eleven apostles remained at Bethsaida for a while waiting for Jesus to appear again to them after the ordination. In the meantime the word of Jesus’ apparition was spreading in Galilee and people came to John and James Zebedee’s house in Bethsaida to inquire about these events.   Peter called a meeting  of the believers  at the lakeside  on the next Sabbath day in the afternoon.  There were gathered around five hundred believers and Peter declared to them :”We affirm to you that our Master, Jesus, has been risen. He is now alive and appeared to us many times”.   While he was speaking Jesus appeared beside him and gave the blessing to the crowd: ”Peace be with you. My peace I give you.” He disappeared after the blessing. This was the 15 th  Jesus’ apparition.   After that apparition , the apostles had the impression that their Master would like them to return to Jerusalem. So early the next day, on Sunday, April 30, they left Bethsaida, John and James and Philip ‘

“Lần xuất hiện trước, Chúa hẹn các tông đồ sẽ gặp lại họ trên ngọn đồi gần thị trấn  Capernaum.  Cũng chính tại cao nguyên Chorazim này khoản 2 năm trước các ông đã nhận lãnh chức danh tông đồ, trước khi  xuống núi truyền giáo. Và cũng tại cao nguyên này Chúa đã giảng về "Tám Mối Phúc Thật".Thời Chúa, thị trấn này còn có tên Douai Capharnaum , nay tên mới  là Kefar Nahum, nằm về phía tây bắc của Biển Galilee. Đây còn gọi là quê hương thứ hai của Chúa Giêsu, thời Chúa là một thị trấn nhỏ, với một tiền đồn và một trạm thu thuế.   Đó là trưa ngày thứ bảy 22 tháng tư, Chúa hiện ra giữa các tông đồ. Các ông quỳ xuống thành vòng tròn quanh Chúa và Chúa ban phép lành truyền chức. Và tại ngọn đồi này, hôm nay diễn lại buổi truyền chức năm xưa. Lần này Chúa cầu nguyện với giọng nói uy nghiêm đầy uy quyền, chưa bao giờ các ông nghe được như vậy. Các ông sẽ không bao giờ quên lễ truyền chức  trang nghiêm này,  với một người Thầy đầy quyền uy  trên vũ trụ.  "Nay các con là muối đất,

“The apostles left Jerusalem on Monday April 17. Since the time the apostles were in hiding and left Jerusalem, there was no preaching, so the Sanhedrin and the Jewish rulers thought that the Gospel movement was crushed.  Anyway, they did not know that on the way to Galilee, the apostles stopped at several occasions to tell their Master resurrection. So they reached Bethsaida late on Wednesday, April 19.   It is noted that Matthias was chosen to replace Judas Iscariot.    When the apostles left Jerusalem, they didn’t know that they were followed by the little boy John Mark in a far distance behind. But when they had passed beyond Bethany,  John joined them, and became confident that they didn’t chase him back to Jerusalem.   The apostles went fishing at the lake late on that Thursday evening. Cổ sử có ghi lại vào năm 490 BC người lực sĩ tên Pheidippides , người Athenian, chạy bộ từ mặt trận Marathon tới Athens để báo tin chiến thắng và liền sau đó kiệt sức đã ngã xuống chết.   Thời Chúa cũng dùng lối truyền tin này. David em của John và James Zebêđê có đội truyền tin, và trước khi giải tán đám người này đã truyền tin cho các nơi báo tin Chúa bị nạn. Và tin này được truyền từ Jerusalem đến Alexandria, từ chiều thứ sáu 7 tháng 4 mãi đến 18 tháng 4 là 11 ngày đường, qua 5 người chạy bộ tiếp sức. Người thứ 5 đưa tin, tên Nathan người xứ Busiris đưa tin cho Rodan tại thành phố Alexandria thuộc đất nước Ai Cập. Alexandria nằm phía bờ nam của biển Địa Trung Hải và phía tây bắc của thủ đô Cairo đất nước Ai Cập. Tuy là thành phố của Ai Cập nhưng được xây dựng bởi Đại Đế  Alexander the Great.  Đây là nơi phát triển lời Chúa bắt đầu từ thế kỷ thứ 2 AD. Và Rodan là ai. Rodan là một triết gia Hy Lạp (Greek) sống tại Alexandria. Ông đã từng biết tiếng Chúa và tìm đến gặp Chúa

“On that Saturday  after the Passover, Thomas was so depressed, felt abandoned, forlorn, left his fellow apostles and went to Simon’s house at Bethphage village, not far from Jerusalem. The next few days , he walked around in the hills  of Olivet, was found by his friends and they took him back to Elijah Mark’ s house. His friends told him about the Master’s apparitions but he stubbornly did not believe them. He said :”I do not believe, unless I see the Master with my own eyes, and put my finger in the mark of the nails”.   After 6 PM as they sat at supper on that Sunday evening, while the  doors were shut and barred for fear of the Jews, Jesus appeared among them in front of Thomas.   “Peace be with you. Now you are all present, I appear to you again to give you the commission  to go into the world, to preach the Gospel of the heavenly kingdom. As the Father sent Me into the world, so I send you.  Go and tell the world about the divine Father’s love, not only with your beautiful disco
